Requirements

Contribution to the National Development Fund (NDF):

  • Non-refundable contribution to the National Development Fund (NDSF), specifically:
    • 650,000 EUR – Main applicant
    • EUR 25,000 – Spouse and dependents under 18 years old
    • EUR 50,000 – Dependents over 18 years old

Real estate investment:

  • Invest in real estate in one of the following two forms:
    • Buy 1 property with a minimum value of EUR 350,000 (maintained for at least 5 years)
    • Lease 1 property with a minimum value of EUR 16,000 (maintained for at least 5 years)

Investing in government bonds:

  • Minimum investment of EUR 150,000 in Maltese Government bonds (maintained for at least 5 years)

No criminal record:

  • Applicants need to have a clean criminal record

Buy health insurance:

  • Investors & families need to prove that they have purchased health insurance in their application for settlement

Residency Requirements:

  • Investor & family need to meet Malta residency requirement
