With this investment option, the applicant can extend the visa for another 2 years (can be extended twice), and to convert to a permanent resident for 5 years, the applicant must ensure to stay in Australia for at least 2 years during the year. 04 years before applying and must have maintained a nominated investment with the Australian State or Territory Government for at least 04 years.

Senior Investor (Significant Investor Stream – 188C) – nominated by the State Government or Austrade, requires the Applicant to:

• Invest at least AUD 5 million in Australia, of which:
• The company invests a minimum of AUD 500,000 in venture capital funds and private equity funds used to invest in start-ups or small private businesses.
• Invest at least AUD 1.5 million in an approved managed fund, invest in emerging businesses listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.
• A “balanced” investment of at least AUD 3 million that can be invested in a variety of ways (Australian stock exchange listed companies, bonds, Australian Government shares, commercial real estate).
• No business experience, foreign languages, initial score registration (Point Test) and no age limit are required.
