With the investment visa subclass 188B, the applicant can transit to permanent residence for 5 years (Subclass 888) if they maintain their residence in Australia for at least 2 years out of 4 years, and maintain a designated investment with the Government. Australian state or territory jurisdiction for at least four years before applying.

Investor Stream – 188B – Appointed by the State Government, requires the Applicant to:

• Under 55 years old.
• Have a combined personal and business net worth of at least AUD 2.25 million.
• At least 03 years of experience in the management of legal investments.
• Having at least 01 year out of 05 years before submitting the application, the applicant satisfies at least 01 of 02 following requirements:
  • Own at least 10% of the shares in the business or
  • Possess legal investments of at least AUD 1.5 million.
• The applicant must achieve at least 65 Australian Immigration points (points are calculated when applying for the initial application).
• No IELTS is required if the Applicant can demonstrate completion of high school.
• The minimum required investment is AUD 1.5 million invested in government bonds.
